


RESEARCH INTERESTS

We are majorly a medicinal chemistry group with varied interests dealing with the drug discovery and development aspect of chemistry. We employ synthetic organic chemistry tools towards development of bio-active molecules for various diseases.
Our research is cross-disciplinary and involves collaborations with groups in Chemical biology, viral biology and analytical instrumentation specifically mass spectrometry.

Simultaneously we are also working towards synthesis of novel calix-pyrroles and calix-benzodipyrroles for ionic and molecular recognition in solution and gas phase and Photo labile compounds for Alzheimer's disease.
Our group also works towards industry sponsored projects like synthetic methodology, bulk synthesis, impurity profiling and method development using HPLC for quality detection. Few projects are listed below.
